Space Game Demo Updated


Not a huge amount of progress this week but we are getting closer to a functioning inventory. I put up a new build with some minor tweaks. My goal is to update every week if possible... 

The coolest update is the space battle out the windows so check that out. Will keep working on the effects there - eventually those ships are going to blow up real good and maybe there will be some space fighters flying around too. See my youtube channel for some of my old projects and a hint of where we may head someday. 


Like I said - the inventory is still in progress. I really want a nice inventory and character screen with drag and drop. Most likely it will be a spatial inventory type. Should show equipped items, allow for easy consumables, maybe even some simple drag and drop crafting. (The goal of the tool box project is to have systems that are interchangeable for a bunch of different games I have planned so not every game will have the total feature set, but that's the power of doing stuff in an object oriented way.) You can see the inventory pop up with the 'I' button but the mouse interaction is not set up as well as the items the player collects are not getting populated. Its literally a little ugly UI with nice Kenney icons of a wrench... hmm we need to implement a wrench item...
